Your profile and settings

What Settings shows you, how to change your own details and password, and how to check your own permissions.

Settings, at the bottom of the sidebar, is your own record — not the application's configuration. Company-wide and system settings live inside the module they belong to.

What it shows

  • Your name and email in the header.
  • The roles you hold, each linking to the role so you can see exactly which abilities it carries.
  • When your account was created and last updated.

The roles list is the quickest way to answer "why can't I do X?" — open the role and look for the subject in question. If the ability is not there, you need it added; see How permissions work.

Actions available here

ActionWhat it does
Update userChange your name, email, country and phone. Changing your email changes what you sign in with.
Update passwordRequires your current password, then the new one.
My CompanyOpens your legal entity's record — members, owner, seats, subscription status. Only shown where multi-company subscriptions apply.

Changing your own details

The self-service edit covers name, email, country and phone only. It cannot change your roles — you cannot grant yourself permissions.

The phone field follows the same rule as everywhere else: pick the country first, and the number must begin with that country's dialling code.

Changing your own password

You will be asked for your old password as well as the new one. If you have forgotten it, you cannot recover it from here — an administrator has to set a new one for you from your user record, and they are not asked for the old password to do it.

Your company

My Company opens the legal entity you belong to. Depending on your permissions you may be able to view members, add or remove them, and see subscription status and seat usage. Read-only access here is normal for non-administrators — see Your company.
